Dear AAUPW Members,
I'm excited to be taking on the role of President of AAUPW. Please be patient with me; I'm still fairly new to the group. I've lived in Munich with my (American) husband Lee since September 2024. He had a dream of living in Germany for about 8 years, and when our two sons were "launched," we were able to make our move.
I attended my first AAUPW meeting in October 2025. The scheduled speaker had canceled, so we split into groups and answered questions like: "What has been the most interesting/hardest/favorite thing about living in Germany; and "What do you miss most/least about the U.S...etc." I was astounded by how comforting it was to be among a group of women who understood exactly what I was experiencing here. Since then, I've enjoyed many fun Girls Night Out, and have truly loved singing in the AAUPW choir. I look forward to a great year with AAUPW!
