Sustainability for a resilient Future
Our next program will be March 18, 2026 at 18:30.
Speaker Rahul Dsouza grew up in the coastal city of Mangalore, India. Armed with a bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering, he moved to Germany in 2019 to pursue a Master’s in Engineering and International Business. His studies in Berlin focused heavily on Sustainability—a passion he carries into his current role at W.L. Gore & Associates, a Delaware based company here in Putzbrunn. He is proud to work for the company that revolutionized outdoor gear with GORE-TEX, helping bridge the gap between technical engineering and global business.
Rahul writes:
Most of us know sustainability is important, but how do we actually measure 'green'? In my talk, I’ll pull back the curtain on how we use data and engineering to track a product’s environmental impact—from the raw materials to the store shelf. My goal is to show you that sustainability isn't just a buzzword; it’s a rigorous engineering challenge that helps us build a more resilient future.
