Volunteering with the Shelter
AAUPW supports the IMMA Shelter for girls 12-18. We host quarterly activities - including brunch, followed by an activity - often games. This activity is only open to AAUPW members.
Book Club
Our bookclub is currently on hold until we find someone to run it. In the past it has been a great way to get to know other members better, discuss interesting books and topics, and share ideas and fellowship while enjoying great food and a glass of wine!
The club normally meets on the SECOND Tuesday of the month at 7pm.
Seasonal Choir
That's what the AAUPW Seasonal Choir is all about - making music and having fun!
Our annual holiday carol singing is at St. Anna Haus in Holzkirchen, a home for the elderly. Rehearsals are always a lot of fun and singing for the residents at St. Anna Haus is heartwarming. We always leave feeling that we have done a good deed and spread a bit of cheer - it's a great AAUPW tradition and a lovely way to spend an Advent Sunday.
Walking Tour
In June, we usually hold our annual walking tour, which end with dinner at a nearby restaurant. Previous year's tours have included the West End, Bogenhausen, Olympia Park, the city center, the Zoo, the Botanical Garden, as well as numerous museums. The walking tour takes the place of our monthly meeting and is only open to members.
Girls' Night Out
There once were ladies with clout
Lively lasses who sure got about
They ate in good cheer
Drank wine, sekt and beer
And they called it Girls’ Night Out.
Come join us for periodic get-togethers at interesting restaurants or for special events.
Girls' Breakfast
About once a month we have a breakfast meet up.

IMMA e.V.
In 2007, we decided to "adopt" the IMMA Zufluchtsstelle (Initiative für Münchner Mädchen) as the official recipient of our annual donation.
In addition, AAUPW became involved in the shelter directly. Members support IMMA's Shelter for girls and young women in the form of monthly activities such as homework support and quarterly activities such as brunches, sewing and holiday activites.
