TRACEY ADELE COOPER - JANUARY SPEAKER

We are happy to welcome Tracey Adele Cooper on January 19th. The meeting will be held via Zoom - starting at 7 p.m. for a social hour, followed by announcements and the program starting around 8.

A native of Ellington, Connecticut, USA, Tracey Adele Cooper has performed professionally in opera and music theater since the age of 15. She earned her Bachelors of Music degree in Vocal Performance from The Manhattan School of Music in the studio of Mignon Dunn. She has appeared in productions with Ithaca Opera, Virginia Opera, Des Moines Metro Opera, New Jersey Verismo Opera, The Manhattan School of Music, The Natchez Opera Festival, Harlem Opera, Danbury Opera, Norwalk Opera, and the Bregenzer Festspiele in Bregenz, Austria, among others. She has sung the title roles of »Aida«, »Adriana Lecouvreur«, »Alcina« and »Tosca«, Venus (»Tannhäuser«), Sieglinde and Gerhilde (»Die Walküre«). She has also performed as a solo concert recitalist in New York, Connecticut, Virginia, Mississippi, and California, performances including a solo recital at Williamsburg, Virginia’s Kimball Theater; as the first classical artist in recital at Newport News, Virginia’s Ella Fitzgerald Theater.

Since 2012, Tracey Adele Cooper has performed with Entity Theater of Munich. Since 2016, she has been a member of the Galli Theatre Munich and the Artistic Director of the Galli English Theatre Munich, where she also performs in English and German productions, appearing as the Sängerin in the ongoing production of Galli’s »Krimikomödie«, the Dreizehnte Fee in Galli Theater’s »Dornröschen«, Die Technikerin in Galli Theater’s »Typisch Deutsch« for their performances in the Goethe Institute Theater Tour Festival in the Czech Republic, the Engel in their »Weihnachtsgeschichte«, the Esel in the production of »Die Bremer Stadtmusikanten«, as well as leading their Play-Along Theater (Mitmachtheater) in both English and German with the entire breadth of fairy tales in their repertoire (»Rumpelstiltskin«, »Snow White«, »Little Red Riding Hood«, »Aladdin«, »Sleeping Beauty«, »Frau Holle«, »The Ice Queen«, and »The Frog Prince«). Currently, she is musical consultant on a number of projects, and acts and facilitates in various projects with Galli’s Business Theater.

In 2017, she was heard (though not seen) in »Top Secret International (State 1)« at Munich’s Glyptothek Museum, a co-production between the Münchener Kammerspiele and the Theaterkollektiv Rimini Protokoll’s. In 2019 and 2020, she appeared in the Münchener Kammerspiele production of »Die Kränkungen der Menschheit« and as part of Munich’s 2020 Tanzplattform in »The Mini Playback Show« at HochX.

She currently sings regularly in Munich as a jazz singer in clubs around Munich, including the Bayerischer Hof Piano Bar, the Bayerischer Hof Night Club, Tollwood, Bernie Baken Bar, Café Beethoven (Mariandl), Mister B’s, Jazzbar Vogler, Ars Music/Stemmerhof, Kongress Bar, Cantina Pasing, Eclipse, Santos Cafe Piano Bar, The Brandstetter, Kook’s Bar, Galli Theater Jazz Lounge, Inninger Spectacel, Hot Shot Bar/Club and the Trostberger TwoDay Jazz Festival. As gospel soloist, she has performed as a special guest with The Munich Mass Choir, Gospels & More, and as a member of the gospel trio GMT Gospels.

Since January 2020, Tracey Adele Cooper has been a member of the soloist ensemble at the Staatstheater am Gärtnerplatz where she also works as a prompter.
