AN EVENING WITH IMMA
20 years ago Tina P. finished her social work degree and started working for IMMA and there has been no turning back since!
Last night, Tina shared with us her love for her work. She explained how the shelter works and that they usually take between 8 and 9 girls from the ages of 13-20 years old. She also talked briefly about the diverse backgrounds of the girls and how over the years it continues to change.
Tina graciously thanked us for our support and the wonderful Christmas presents we provided for the girls this year.
Claudia and I were able to also share our stories and expeirences of working with the girls.
It was, all in all, an informative evening and a great testimony to AAUPW's committment to IMMA!
