Annual Tax Session with Certified Tax Consultant Natalie Pollinger

Location:  HPKJ e.V. Saarstraße 5, 80797 München

Join the Democrats Abroad April meeting to hear a presentation from US Tax Consultant, Natalie Pollinger.

Mrs. Pollinger is registered as an Enrolled Agent in the US. In the last 12 years Natalie worked for 8.5 years as a Senior Manager at PricewaterhouseCooper in New York and also in Luxembourg. Prior to that, Natalie worked for Siemens and also for KPMG in New York and Munich as a tax consultant. Natalie is specialized in US income tax matters for US citizens and permanent residents (Greencard holders) living outside of the US and also foreign nationals living in the USA or with US connection. In addition she supports clients with tax advice for expatriate issues and individual tax planning.  

In addition, we will briefly discuss the Tax bill and action Democrats Abroad have been taking over this past year. 
This event is open to non members as well. 

Beer, cocktails and water as well as baked goods will be available for purchase, with all proceeds going to the Munich Chapter of
Get Out the Vote 2018.

Concert with composer and cellist Graham Waterhouse

"Werewolf Project" with Graham Waterhouse 

Institute of Charismology presents composer and cellist Graham Waterhouse who was born in London and has now made Munich his home.  This is a special and very unusual solo concert with an inspiring musician, full of humour – in English and German:  The Werewolf Project – Music for Cello and the spoken word with Graham Waterhouse.

Concert by Song Poet Torsten Riemann

Kulturzentrum Einstein, Einsteinstr. 42 in

Institute of Charismology presents this concert which provides a new and unusual concept featuring Berlin-based song poet Torsten Riemann, who is also a choir leader and life coach. Herr Riemann, who hails from Berlin, was last heard in Munich many years ago together with the renowned cabarettist, Helmut Ruge.

8th Bavarian-American Friendship Evening

Organized by Triple D Events - Dave Dowdy, Bavarian-American Friendship Evening will be in the Hippodrom tent located at the Frühlingsfest, Theresienwiese. Last year about 600 guests attended, so let's join Dave in aiming for 1,000 this year.

This spring Oktoberfest is not to be missed and during Bavarian-American Friendship Evening- there will be burgers and some American rock classics to sing and dance to!! Tracht encouraged. 

Again the Family Krätz, Susanne Barsody and the entire Hippodrom team welcome us to the 8th annual Bavarian-American Friendship Evening.  Seating begins at 18:00.  Please plan to arrive by not later than 19:00 to assure that we keep the reserved tables. There is no cover charge and no advance payment for this evening.  Each guest will receive a free pretzel, compliments of the Hippodrom. 
In addition to the normal assortment of Bierzelt food, we can purchase Kobe-beef hamburger dinners a special MING price of Eur 10.00.

Linda Jo Rizzo will lead the entertainment with a special show around 8.30 p.m. Please get ready for dancing, good music and lots of fun for everyone.  There is no particular dress code, but if you have something in Bavaria-look in your closet, you are encouraged to wear it. 

Everyone is invited -not only MING and German/Bavarian-American Clubs, but individuals and individual groups as well.  Please tell your friends and anyone else who may be interested.

March for Science 2018

March for Science - Why are scientists gathering in over 500 cities on 14th April 2018?  It’s all about assuring sustained funding for science, academic freedom and fact-based politics.  Show your support by joining our local scientists at the March for Science in Munich.  We meet at 0930 at Königsplatz, then proceed via the Briennerstr. to Odeonsplatz, then onward to Marienplatz via the Dienerstr.  No sign-up, just show-up! 

Munich Cowboys' Open Their 2018 Season

Munich Cowboys' - Saturday, 7th April (1600-1830)

The Cowboys start their American football season at Dante Stadion when the Fighting Bayrisch take on the Würzburg Panthers in a preseason match up.  They then advance to the Opening Day of the 2018 First German Football League (GFL) season on Saturday, 21st April (1600) when they tackle the Frankfurt Universe at Dante Stadion.  "Start me up!"
